I will be giving workshops in Japanese Woodblock Printing at Aberdeen City 10th anniversary Over 50’s Festival, ‘Get oot and aboot’. During the course participants will: use Japanese papers designed over decades for this form or printing; employ Japanese tools to cut the blocks; apply the watercolour by specialised Japanese brushes to the cut blocks and print by hand with the aid of a ‘Baren’ (hand printing disc wrapped in a bamboo leaf).

Discover the sheer fun and excitement of this most ancient of print mediums. Open to all levels.
